CHM 1050 Chemistry for Nursing

This course surveys the fundamentals of general chemistry and an introduction to organic chemistry and biochemistry. Topics include atomic structure; periodicity; chemical bonding; acid-base reactions; buffers; organic nomenclature; functional groups; and reactions. Biological applications will be emphasized where applicable.
