MUAT 3011 Audio for Video
Students learn the art and practice of adding audio to video or film. Topics include synchronization, film sound categories, and the history of film music. Using short segments of video, students add various kinds of audio: ADR; Foley; music backgrounds, and sync point audio. Additional topics include sound effusion, and the aesthetics of the sound track in video or film. Software programs used: Apple Logic, Avid ProTools. No prerequisites.
