MUE 5090 DIRECTING INSTRUMENTAL ENSEMBLES
This course covers procedure for administrating and directing instrumental music ensembles in elementary and secondary schools. Curriculum writing, adminstrative techniques, selecting instructional material and ensemble literature, organizational and rehearsal techniques for concert band, jazz band, and the small instrumental ensemble will be included. This course will explore the basic skills of instrumental conducting, including rehearsal techniques, program building, and score reading.
