First-Year Program Grade Requirement

Students must earn a minimum grade of C - in their FYP and ENC courses to complete the First-Year Program requirement at Manhattanville College.  Students who fail to meet the seminar requirement will be re-registered into FYP 1100 in their second semester at the College and placed on academic probation.  Students who fail to meet the two writing requirements will be re-registered into ENC 1001/ENC 1101 or ENC 1002/ENC 1102 in the following semester at the College and placed on academic probation.

The FYP 1100 requirement may be repeated only once and must be successfully completed within a student's first academic year at the College.  A second failure to complete the First Year Program seminar requirement with a grade of C- will result in academic dismissal from the College.

ENC 1001/ENC 1101 and ENC 1002/ENC 1102 may be repeated only once.  Both courses must be successfully completed by the end of a student's fourth semester at the College.  A second failure to complete either course with a grade of C- will result in academic dismissal from the College.
