MATH.1050 Mathematics for the Health Sciences

Review of the mathematics required to accurately calculate medication dosages, including linear, exponential, and logarithmic functions. Systems of measurement, conversions, and common abbreviations related to units of measurements. Calculation of oral and parenteral dosages (including those based on weight), reconstitution of solutions, titration of IV medications, and insulin dosages. This course serves students within the college's health sciences programs, as well as those students interested in gaining mathematical knowledge useful within the healthcare field.
