SPRT.2022 Sports Marketing

This course is an introduction to the business of sports from a strategic marketing perspective, exploring fundamental theories and concepts of both the marketing of sports and the marketing through sports. The fundamental purpose of this courses is to provide students with a theoretical and practical framework of sports marketing as a component of an integrated marketing strategy. The main focus is on the application of marketing principles, strategies and tactics to sports products (e.g. teams, league, sports events, athletes) and to the marketing of non-sports related products/services through association with sports (e.g. sporting events, leagues, athletes) to achieve organizational goals and objectives.
