JUS.2105 Women and War: Changing Perspectives
This course explores the roles women have played in times of conflict, from World War I and World War II to the Cold War and contemporary conflicts in Sudan, Ukraine, Afghanistan, and the Middle East. It examines how women's contributions have shaped the course of war, how their roles have changed over time, and the broader impact of these changes. The course also considers the nature of war itself, why and how wars are fought, and how the information age has transformed the way conflicts are perceived by both participants and the wider populations.
