PHL.2016 Contemporary Ethical Debates and Issues
This course focuses on fostering the skills necessary for thinking carefully about and engaging in productive debates on contemporary ethical issues. Students will learn the basics of influential moral theories, such as consequentialism, deontology, and virtue ethics, as well as how to apply those theories to practical issues. Students will participate in several debates during class as part of completing the course.
