IDS.3001 Experiential Learning Project
In this course, students engaged in Experiential Learning (on- or off-campus), will meet with a faculty instructor on a weekly basis to discuss their experiences and challenges. Topics for discussion will include professional and ethical behavior and comportment in the workplace, the relationship between the kinds of work and the overall mission of the employing organization, career opportunity research (informational interviews), etc. Assignments will encourage students to reflect on the connections between theories of work and their experiences in an actual workplace, and to develop their ability to describe acquired skills and knowledge to potential employers.
