NUR 5150 Advanced Family Nurse Practitioner III

This is the third in a series of three Advanced Family Nursing Practice courses. AFNP-III mainly focuses on the adult and older adult populations with more complex and chronic common primary care problems. This course aims to prepare family nurse practitioner students for delivery of primary care to the adult and older adult population. This course and its required practicum hours will provide opportunities for FNP students to learn how to promote health and prevent illnesses, and to diagnose, treat, and manage conditions in primary care. The FNP student will need to successfully complete 180 clinical hours in adult/older adult health settings and also pass NUR5150S: Advanced Family Nursing Practice Seminar III in order to be successful in NUR-5150 Advanced Family Nursing Practice-III.
