BIO.2009 Introduction to Scientific Research
In this course, students will select their area of scientific interest and begin to learn about their topic via textbooks, online sources, and journal articles. In addition, students will build skills in scientific communication via utilizing technology to create oral talks and poster presentations, which will culminate at the end of the year at a science fair, symposium, or conference, where students will present a poster of a proposed research project. Students will engage in a search for a scientific mentor to work with in the completion of said proposed research project.
