FRN.2008 French Conversation
The course will concentrate on improving speaking and listening skills in French. Students will learn the vocabulary and language structures as well as idiomatic expressions that will help them converse in a number of specific situations - asking for information, looking for a job, communicating with technology, speaking about French cuisine, making purchases, giving advice, and discussing issues of immigration, identity, religion, and diversity in contemporary France. They will also be introduced to current events in France and the Francophone world through newspaper and magazine articles, the web, video clips, films, and songs. Prerequisite: FRN 2002, or its equivalent.
