BIO.3053 Human Evolution, Ecology, and Adaptation

What is human? When and where did our ancestors originate? How old is Homo sapiens? How many hominin species are there? This course will cover the study of hominins in their evolutionary, ecological, and adaptational setting. Topics will include a survey of modern human variation, adaptation, and genetics, and an introduction to the primates and detailed examination of the hominin fossil record.
