Accelerated Pathway Programs (Bachelors/Masters)

Manhattanville recognizes the significant value that a master's degree provides in a competitive professional landscape. The university therefore encourages interested students to take advantage of accelerated pathway programs that may allow a student to earn a bachelor's and master's degree in as little as five years.

Students completing Manhattanville’s combined bachelor’s and master’s degrees benefit from advanced specialized education and hands-on professional experiences fueling advanced career pathways. Our accelerated pathway programs focus on undergraduate coursework in the first three years, with the fourth year consisting of both bachelor’s and master’s level classes. Following the completion of the bachelor's degree, students are then officially enrolled in a master's program with advanced standing, having earned several graduate credits during the undergraduate program. Students may then be able to complete the master's degree in as little as one year, though the completion timeline will vary by program.

Undergraduate students who wish to pursue an accelerated pathway are advised to speak with their advisor. Once approved to pursue an accelerated pathway, students will have a "specialization" added to their program that represents the master's degree they intend to pursue. The specialization will also entail the prescribed/recommended graduate courses they should take while finishing the undergraduate degree.

Accelerated pathways are available for students to pursue master's degrees in either the School of Arts and Science or the School of Education. Refer to the school listings below for more details on the programs and disciplines in which accelerated pathways are currently offered.
