Accelerated Pathway Programs in the School of Education
The School of Education offers this option for full-time undergraduates who wish to combine a Bachelor of Arts (BA) or Bachelor of Science (BS) in the School of Arts and Sciences with a Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) or a Master of Professional Studies (MPS) in the School of Education. Undergraduates who demonstrate a 3.0 or better G.P.A. are eligible for the accelerated pathway program. This program allows students to take up to 15 graduate-level Education credits that apply to both the undergraduate and graduate degrees, thus allowing for acceleration of the graduate degree program.
Below are a list of the School of Education master's programs that undergraduate students may pursue via the accelerated pathway program. Click on the programs below for more details on the master's program, the graduate courses students can expect to complete during the undergraduate degree, and the ideal undergraduate majors that pair with each master's degree. Students interested in this program should speak with their advisor about declaring an accelerated pathway "specialization," which will be added to the undergraduate program and denotes the master's degree the student intends to pursue.
