PSY.3055 Studies in Attachment

This course is designed to introduce students to the study of attachment relationships in childhood. Bonds between children and their caregivers play a central role in children's development. Research over several decades has provided evidence to the importance of studying attachment relationships and how they correlate with various aspects of development, including mental health, social competence, and emotional well-being. Students in this course will become familiar with this research, as well as research related to attachment theory, and antecedents of attachment.
