PUBH.1010 Introduction to Public Health

This course introduces students to major concepts and problems in the field of public health including the history and philosophy of public health as it has been understood in the United States and globally, health policy, the fundamentals of disease and epidemiology, the social determinants of health and wellness, and the structure of the health care system.
