RAD.4430 Magnetic Resonance Imaging Principles and Procedures

This course provides an introduction to the principles and clinical applications of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) within the field of medical imaging. Emphasis is placed on MRI physics, instrumentation, image formation, pulse sequences, patient safety, and imaging procedures. Students will examine the role of MRI in diagnostic medicine while developing an understanding of image quality, contrast media, artifact recognition, and ethical considerations related to patient care. The course is designed to provide the didactic content required for advanced-level MRI education and to prepare students for post-primary certification opportunities in Magnetic Resonance Imaging.
