NUR.5130 Advanced Family Nursing Practitioner I
This is the first class of three Advanced Family Nursing Practice (AFNP) classes. AFNP-I mainly focuses on pediatrics and women's health. This course aims to prepare family nurse practitioner students for delivery of primary care to children and women. This course and its required practicum hours will provide opportunities for FNP students to learn how to promote health and prevent illnesses, and diagnose, treat, and manage conditions related to children's and women's health in primary care. The FNP student will need to successfully complete 90 clinical hours in pediatric and 90 clinical hours in women's health settings also pass NUR5130S: Advanced Family Nursing Practice Seminar I in order to be successful in NUR-5130 Advanced Family Nursing Practice-I.
