Sociology Major Requirements

Ten courses must be completed satisfactorily for a major in Sociology.

Required Courses

SOC.1001	Introduction to Sociology	3
SOC.2091	Social Science Research	3
SOC.3003	Classical Social Theory	3

Electives

Students are required to complete seven elective courses in either SOC or ANTH.  WGS 1040 also counts as an elective.

Two of the seven electives must be taken at the 3000-level.

The requirement of 10 courses should be considered a minimum; students majoring in the program may wish to include additional sociology and anthropology courses.

All 10 courses required for the major must receive letter grade evaluations of at least C.
