EDPD.5028 The Teacher as Advocate: Leveraging Communication for Systemic Family Partnership
This course is a strategic "launch lab" for classroom teachers. Participants will move beyond individual email habits to design a systemic communication plan for the entire school year. Using Culturally Responsive-Sustaining Education (CRSE) principles and Zaretta Hammond's Ready for Rigor framework, teachers will plan specific "trust deposits" into the Bank of Goodwill before the first bell rings. By analyzing institutional barriers and designing collaborative protocols, participants will build a classroom ecosystem where families feel like essential partners in student growth.
