Student Learning Outcomes

Students majoring in Political Science are expected to

  1. Demonstrate an understanding of key political science approaches, theories, and political issues across multiple subfields.
  2. Interpret and analyze theories, ideas, and political issues via integrating them with data analysis and storytelling.
  3. Understand key ethical issues in political science as represented in the origin of the field, methodology, field research, and policies and other real-world applications.
  4. Apply their knowledge of the discipline to a topic-based capstone as they examine a particular issue through the theoretical and methodological knowledge they acquire in their coursework.
