EDU.3369 Methods of Teaching Literacy and Language Arts II

This second part of the Literacy Methods course provides an understanding of research-based best practices in literacy instruction. Students will apply strategies and materials used in a comprehensive literacy program, examine models of thematic units that integrate literacy with content areas, and construct a unit of study that demonstrates the ability to evaluate and select strategies that integrate a variety of texts across disciplines to meet the needs of diverse learners.
