Traditional Nursing Major Requirements

Nursing Applicant Requirements - First Year, Traditional Candidates

1. Applicants must be graduates of an approved secondary school. High School Equivalency Diploma, with satisfactory scores, may also be accepted.
2. A minimum high school GPA 3.0.
3. Official transcript(s) of grades earned to date from secondary school.
4. Two (2) letters of recommendation; one from a guidance counselor or transfer counselor, and one from a current or former teacher.
5. A personal essay/statement explaining why you have chosen nursing as your major.
