Undergraduate Degree Requirements

To qualify for a Bachelor's degree, undergraduate students must complete all of the following degree requirements:

  • A minimum of 120 total credits (though some major programs may exceed 120)
  • A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0
  • Successful completion of the First Year Program 
  • General Education requirements (for all students regardless of major or program)
  • Completion of a major (normally with final grades of C or better, though some majors accept C- or higher)
  • Minimum number of liberal arts credits for their degree:
    • BA degree: 90 liberal arts credits
    • BS degree: 60 liberal arts credits
    • BFA degree: 30 liberal arts credits

Students must also complete Manhattanville's Residency Requirement of 30 credits and half of one's major (and/or minor) requirements. Ultimately, it is the responsibility of the student to make certain that all requirements for degree completion and graduation are met.
