Accelerated Pathway Program in Creative Writing

Manhattanville’s Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing program offers an accelerated pathway to students wishing to combine a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing and Literature with a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing. Undergraduates who demonstrate a 3.4 or better GPA may apply for the accelerated pathway program by February 15 of their junior year. Applications must include two recommendations from faculty in the undergraduate English Department; a 7-25 page writing sample (not exclusively poetry); and a 3 page statement of purpose. The program allows students to take 12 graduate writing credits that apply to both the undergraduate and graduate degrees, thus allowing for acceleration of the graduate degree program.
