Introduction & Overview
The B.S. in Cybersecurity equips students with the expertise and skills to be an adept professional in the dynamic field of cybersecurity. The program will prepare graduates for careers in the protection of digital assets, data, and information systems. The program will also teach students why people make certain cognitive decisions when interacting with computers and technology. Students that graduate from the program will address the growing demand for cybersecurity professionals in today’s interconnected world.

Career Outlook
The cybersecurity career field is one of the fastest growing, and also one of the highest paid. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, information security analysts are projected to grow 32% between 2022-2032, much faster than the average for all occupations.
Given the critical importance of technical skills in cybersecurity procedures and the capacity for making informed decisions in technology interactions, graduates with a bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity are well-positioned to earn average yearly salaries above six figures, according to the BLS.
As graduates gain years of experience, pursue graduate education, or obtain specialized certifications, there is a significant potential for salary increases. While factors like location also influence salary potential, advanced roles in cybersecurity demand a higher level of expertise and offer correspondingly higher compensation, reflecting the value and impact of these professionals in protecting digital assets and information systems.
