Commercial Dance Major Requirements
Note: Students pursuing a B.F.A. in Dance must complete a total of 83 credits in the major.
In addition to requirements for the major course of study, General Education courses must be completed. For a B.F.A., a minimum of 30 liberal arts credits must be included in courses taken over the four years. Liberal Arts courses are marked by 'LA' in the University Catalog.
Commercial Dance majors may take up to 21 credits per semester. Students routinely take a compliment of dance techniques in Ballet, Tap, Hip Hop, Jazz, beyond the minimum required.
Commercial Dance majors and minors must receive a grade of C or better in all courses that will be used toward the major. A course for the major that receives below a C will need to be repeated and a grade below a C places the student in a provisional status within the program. Students who receive below a C for a DTH course must meet with faculty advisors.

Students must register for
DTH 4410 each semester for a minimum of
six semesters. Students are expected to register for
DTH 4410 during their first six semesters.
